The psychiatric reception in Torsby is organized within the adult psychiatry area in Region Värmland.

In addition to the reception in Torsby, there is psychiatric outpatient care in Hagfors, Arvika, Kristinehamn, Säffle, and Karlstad.

We work in a cross-professional manner, and our team consists of psychologists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, doctors, administrative staff, and occupational therapists. The work is characterized by a strong patient focus, collaboration with relatives, and various partners.

The mission of the operation is to assess, investigate, and treat patients with mental illness and mental disabilities, which can occur individually or in groups.

We are now looking for a psychologist for 100% in Torsby. With us, you will work in a highly competent team that cares about the patient's best interests. You will be introduced by experienced and knowledgeable colleagues. The team-based approach means that we utilize each other's competencies and value good collaboration within the team.

Your Responsibilities

The position is aimed at those interested in evidence-based psychological treatment and assessment. The main tasks are psychological treatment work of various kinds and orientations, as well as assessment and investigation work, including personality and neuropsychological issues.

Collaboration with other professionals and authorities, as well as relatives, is a natural part of the work. Supervision of students and PTP psychologists may occur. There is access to supervision regarding both psychological treatment and neuropsychological assessments.

Your Qualifications and Competencies

We primarily seek a licensed psychologist, preferably with several years of clinical experience, as well as experience in both neuropsychiatric and general psychiatric assessments and treatment work. Further education in psychological differential diagnosis and assessment methodology is an advantage.

We place great importance on collaboration skills, flexibility, curiosity, a genuine interest in teamwork, and the ability to work independently. You should have a strong patient focus with a solution-oriented approach to work and good problem-solving analytical skills. We see that you are clear and structured in your work approach and do so with self-awareness that allows you to take responsibility together with the rest of the team, focusing on high patient safety and quality in care. An interest in operational development is also important.
